Candy Kittens

Candy Kittens has an established brand identity, known for its fun and colorful products and packaging. It is therefore important that we maintain brand consistency when relaunching specific areas of the store throughout the membership. The first area of focus within the membership was the re-build the landing page that not only immerses customers in the core brand messaging, but also offers a shopping experience whereby customers can see and buy products with just 2 clicks. Alongside an optimized shopping experience, we integrated animated reviews and scroll-based animation to maximize on-page engagement.

Task

Help to rebuild a unified visual system with multiple mobility options. Meaning: a single cross platform app with a harmonised UX flow that help people embrace the new identity system through play and interaction.

The Brief

Candy Kittens is a popular sweets brand that specializes in vegan and sustainable sweets. The brand has been out to forge and dominate a sector of its gourmet confectionary, launching numerous campaigns for its range of products. We partnered with Candy Kittens to deliver ongoing growth and support with our membership offering. Since working alongside the team at Candy Kittens we have launched a new animated home page, a Black Friday/Cyber Monday landing and a Christmas onsite experience for the brand’s limited edition festive range. In addition to this, we helped support the launch of the Gourmies range of products via new product collection navigation, integrating personalized reviews and a custom checkout process throughout. We were tasked with delivering a unique and user-friendly customer experience that maximizes engagement and transactions whilst encompassing Candy Kitten’s familiar look and feel. We’ve partnered with Candy Kittens to deliver a growth-centric approach to Shopify design and development.

By combining some of the very best design and UI skills with modern developmental practices, we support Candy Kittens to launch unique and engaging campaigns that feel bespoke and are not limited by the tools that exist natively within their Shopify store. Campaigns include collaborations with BrewDog and local artists that takeover the brand’s packaging called ‘Candy LOVES’.

KPI focus & performance

With a key focus on improving average-order-value, we worked with Candy Kittens to integrate a cart that would appear as an overlay over the page when a customer presses “add to cart”. This not only allows the customers to continue shopping if they wish but alternatively head straight to the checkout. We used this step in the customer’s journey to promote product upsells, discounted add-ons, or “frequently bought together”.
